How to Back Up Your Vault Safely
Client-side means you own the backup. Here's a practical routine for storing it without giving up privacy.
Because 2fas Plus never touches a server, restoring your vault is entirely your responsibility. That is a feature, not a bug — but only if you actually keep a backup.
Export the JSON file from the Data menu after adding or removing an account. Store one copy on an offline drive and another inside an encrypted archive on a device you trust. Avoid uploading the raw file to cloud drives that sync automatically to every gadget you own.
When you need to restore, use Import from the same menu and pick Merge if you already have accounts, or Replace all when starting fresh on a new device.
